FAQs
Q: I’m having trouble seating the nails on the PWS2, what should I do?
A: Verify the weight is installed on the handle of the tool. The weight aids in seating the nails. The ring shank nails are now fully seated in the plastic staples making it easier to set the nails as they only need to penetrate the wood. If the staples you are working with do not have fully seated nails, we recommend you source some that do if you are having trouble fully seating the nails.
Q: The staples are not staying in the wood, what should I do?
A: Additional force may be needed in hard spots on the subfloor. Additional staples can also be used to increase holding power. Setting nails with a hammer after initial installation can help ensure proper holding power.
Q: Will Malco’s Pex to Wood Stapler and staples work on the AdvanTech Sub floor?
A: Yes, our Pex to Wood Stapler and Staples does work with AdvanTech sub floor.
Q: Do you know of any other brands of staples that would work with the PWS1?
A: We recommend using Malco Staples as they are designed to work with our tool.
